There are plenty of alternatives to driving, waiting at the light, and driving some more. Many are a lot more fun, healthy, ecological, relaxing, efficient, and social.

Houston's Doing It: Seeing their Bayous as a Key Attraction
Loren is a Sociology Professor at Centenary College. His research is about how everyday social interaction is therapeutic--both for individuals and their communities, and how the way we we live can affect that. He teaches "Society and Technology," "Urban Sociology," and "Race and Ethnicity."
